Food Tutorial

This tutorial is gonna be about feeding a colony of attengenus unicolor. These are just guidelines as to how much and when to feed a colony of dermys. This is based on my own personal experinces with Attengenus Unicolor Dermestids.

Type of food
-Dog food/Other pet food
-Meat[dried]
-Stored foods[Cereals and such]
Anything else just remember to use common sense.

How much to feed and when?
This depends on the size of your colony.
20 and lower 1 piece of food until they eat it in less then 24 hours then add more.
100 just start using a cup of food and replenish it when you need to.

Hope this helps

Enclosure Types

So for Attangenus Unicolor there are two types of enclosures to use.

The Standered Enclosure
Just basicly an enclosure that can be modified however the persons feels to suit their needs as well as their colonie's needs.
Flowthrough System
The standered system with a twist this system you have screen on the bottom of the enclosure with another clear enclosure on the bottom so debris/frass/little larvae can fall through it.

In another tutorial i'll explain how to make them.

My Attangenus Unicolor Colony Count

So every month from November 2010 till whenever i decide to stop doing them.
So far this is what i have in my Attangenus Unicolor Colony:
3-Adults
20+ Larvae

Hopefully by 2011 i'll have 100+ :D in this colony!
